A rally was held in Gouranadi, Barisal, on the occasion of the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women. The rally, initiated by the Upazila Administration and Women's Affairs Office, left the Upazila premises yesterday morning and circled various roads.
Finally, the Upazila Nirbahi Officer Abu Abdullah Khan was the chief guest at the discussion meeting chaired by Women's Affairs Officer Jahanara Parveen in the Upazila Hallroom. Assistant Commissioner (Land) Rajib Hossain, Model Police Station OC Yunus Mia, and Secondary Education Officer Abdul Jalil were special guests. UP Chairman Saikat Guha Piklu, Golam Hafiz Mridha, senior journalist Zahurul Islam Zahir and others spoke.
